1 egg
2 TBL. chopped scallions
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 c. chopped salami*
1 can (8 oz.) refrig. crescent roll dough
2 tsp. sesame seeds
In a small bowl beat egg slightly. Set aside one TBL. of the beaten egg; combine the rest with cheddar cheese. salami, and scallions. Separate crescent roll dough into four rectangles. Place on lightly floured board. Firmly press perforations to seal.
1- Flatten slightly with rolling pin. On one dough rectangle, place 1/4 of meat mixture along one of the edges.
2- Roll up, jelly-roll fashion, completely enclosing the filling.
3- Pinch seam to seal. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, bring edges together (overlap slightly) to form a circle.
4- Press ends to seal. Repeat with remaining dough and filling. Brush rolls with reserved egg; sprinkle with sesame seeds.
5- Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
*Can use salami, pepperoni, ham or your choice of cooked meat
